Rwanda is expected to experience predominantly dry weather with sunny intervals during the daytime from Aug. 11 to 20, according to the latest weather outlook for the second dekad of August.
The forecast indicates that daytime maximum temperatures will range between 20°C and 31°C across the country, while nighttime minimum temperatures are expected to fall between 9°C and 17°C.
Both daytime and nighttime temperatures are forecast to remain within the long-term mean for the second dekad of August, suggesting no significant departure from the temperatures typically recorded during this period.
Scattered rainfall is expected across the country, with accumulated amounts ranging from 0 to 30 millimetres. This is below the long-term mean, which ranges between 0 and 50 mm for the same period.
The relatively limited rainfall could contribute to continued dry conditions in some areas, particularly where rainfall has already been uneven or below seasonal expectations.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds are forecast countrywide, with wind speeds expected to range from 4 to 12 metres per second.
The combination of predominantly dry weather, limited rainfall and moderate to strong winds is expected to shape conditions across Rwanda during the 10-day period, while temperatures remain broadly in line with seasonal averages.
